THE BRIDE IN THE FIELD

A renewed, fervent cry is arising from deep within God's bride in this day: "Lord, I must KNOW YOU; not know about You, but know You personally, intimately. I am not satisfied knowing You vicariously (by another person's experience). Please, whatever the cost, let me know You! Let me come CLOSE to You. Where can I find You?

 

"Come, my beloved, let us GO forth into the field; let us lodge in the villages. . . there I will give thee my loves." (Song of Solomon 7:11,12)
           

"And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide; and he lifted up his eyes, and saw, and behold, the camels were coming. And Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she lighted off the camel. For she had said unto the servant, What man is this that walketh in the field to meet us?" (Genesis 24:63-65)

As we look, especially at the account of Rebekah and Isaac, an interesting scenario unfolds. Rebekah is at the end of a long, dusty journey from the land of her nativity in Mesopotamia to Caanan where Isaac lives. What excitement must be in her voice as she inquires of the servant, "Who is that in the field coming to meet us?!" She must have been thinking, hoping, "Could this be my bridegroom? Oh, it is! It is Isaac!"
           

Immediately, without hesitation, Rebekah dismounts her camel, and adorns herself with her bridal veil. No price is too great. She will take the final steps into the field and go with her bridegroom. The thought of the faithful servant who had led her to this point and the arduous journey behind her quickly fade as her bridegroom now leads her alone into his mother's tent. Finally, she becomes totally his.

If you are longing to know your bridegroom as was Rebekah, will you take the FINAL STEPS into the field to meet Him? They are:
 

1.    LEAVING that which has carried and led you to this point.
For Rebekah, it was the camel that had carried her and Abraham's servant who had led her.
We don't need to sever relationship unless He says to, but we
do  need to sever undue DEPENDENCE on anything  or anyone. From this point on, we will lean TOTALLY on our beloved. Anything less is idolatry.  
The Lord is a jealous God and will not allow this.
Although this call will cause us to leave much behind, it will launch us into our place of ministry -- first to Him and then Him.

 

2.     GOING into the harvest field.
For Rebekah, the field was in the Land of Caanan or Israel as we now know it.
With us, the field will differ with the individual. It may be anywhere He says, from going next door to our neighbors, to going around the world. The Lord Himself will show us our specified field of labor.

 

3.     EQUIPPING
We will not go unequipped. The fire of love forJESUS (Yeshua) captivate, empower, and propel us. All His provision is contained in the fire of this love relationship.
All we need financially, physically, and emotionally will be with His call spiritually.

The call of the Bride in this hour is to GO!

Go into the field to meet Him. THERE you will find Him. THERE will you know Him intimately as YOUR BRIDEGROOM in this day.
