How miracles occur – Faith which casts mountains into the sea and brings forth a child at 100 years of age is conceived by a rhema and vision from God, which when incubated through pondering, speaking and acting, births a miracle in the fullness of time.

  1. Faith begins with a spoken word from the Lord as He makes a promise to us.
  2. God then adds a vision, a picture of the promise already fulfilled. This inflames emotions & faith.
  3. We dwell ONLY on this rhema and vision from God – never the opposite!
  4. We speak the rhema and vision God has spoken to us, in the way He instructs us to speak it.
  5. Impassioned emotions & faith cause us to act on God’s promise to us.
  6. We die to self-effort, ceasing our own labors and surrender to His finished work!
  7. In God’s timing, the miracle is brought forth.

Stages
Conception/incubation/birth

Record what Jesus speaks … and ACT on it!

1. Conception

The ears of my heart hear God’s rhema. (Jn. 5:30;

Abraham: Gen. 12:1-3)

Jesus, what is Your spoken promise to me concerning this situation?

2. Conception

The eyes of my heart see God’s vision of the promise already fulfilled. (Rev. 4:1; Eph. 1:17,18; Gen. 15:5,6)

Jesus, show me Your vision of this promise fulfilled. Describe what you see…

3. Incubation

The mind of my heart
dwells continually on God’s rhema and vision.
(Lk. 2:19; Rom. 4:20,21)

Lord, how do You want me to make Your promise and Your vision the thing I dwell upon?

4. Incubation

I speak God’s promise and vision affirming it
as my personal,
present-tense reality.
(Mk. 11:22-24; Gen. 17:5)

Lord, how do You want me to affirm with my speech this promise as my personal, present-tense reality?

5. Incubation

I act on this completed reality

as God instructs me to.
(Matt. 14:14; Gen. 17:23)

Lord, what action of faith do You want me to take in light of this promise?

6. Cease fleshly labors

I cease my striving and enter God’s rest. (Heb. 4:9-11;
Gen. 16:2; 17:23)

Lord, what fleshly striving do You want me to lay down, and how am I to rest in the revelation that You have accomplished this promise by Your power?

7. Birthed in God’s time

God brings the miracle to full manifestation in His time. (Gal. 4:4a; Gen. 21:1,2)

Lord, I give thanks that this is my new reality! Continue in praise and worship…

Four key principles which MUST be honored

  1. Be intentional in completing ALL of the above seven steps. If you skip any of them, you are not in congruence, and the power of the Holy Spirit is hindered from flowing through you to release His miracle.
  2. A picture is worth 1000 words (Gen. 15:5,6). You must see a vision of the promise fulfilled, and you must dwell on this daily. This causes emotions and faith to be constantly inflamed, which in turn provides the energizing for Spirit-anointed actions.
  3. You must speak, affirming God’s promise and vision as your personal, present-tense reality, not a future reality (Mk. 11:22-24). You get WHAT you say! Do you want this in the present or in the future? This idea is expanded here.
  4. Ask for a word of knowledge to identify any root cause to the issue so you can address it and see it removed.

Seven examples of honoring or dishonoring these seven steps

  1. I confessed I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, but pictured myself as a miserable sinner. The picture won over the confession, and I lived in guilt and condemnation.
  2. I pictured and confessed His promise that the torn ligament in my knee was healed and I agreed with His vision that I would be on the beach leaping and throwing Frisbee with my grandson. Two years later this vision was fulfilled.
  3. Even though God had promised victory, the Israelites were defeated in battle, meaning God’s provision and power were stymied. The sin was identified through a word of knowledge and dealt with and they were able to win the next battle (Josh. 6-8).
  4. A lady was not being healed of pain in her shoulder/neck even though our prayer team had prayed for it three or four times. Then revelation hit and we asked, “Is there someone who is a pain in your neck that you need to forgive?” The answer was “Yes,” so she pictured the person and forgave them. We prayed again and instantly the “pain in her neck” went away and she testified to being completely healed.
  5. I confess God is King of Kings and Lord of Lords and yet I picture evil is increasing, which destroys my emotions and faith that of the increase of His government there shall be no end (Isa. 9:7). My prayer and proclamation of God’s lordship is devoid of the power of God because I am not fully aligned with this “belief.”
  6. I say He has given me the power to create wealth (Deut. 8:18), but I picture and believe that I am in lack, so my emotions are negative, my faith is destroyed, and the miracle of financial provision is thwarted.
  7. I believe I am to lead and not follow (Deut. 28:1-14), but I picture myself as inadequate and incapable of leading. The picture overrules my “belief” and emotional passion that I CAN lead, so I am stymied. (OR) I could picture Jesus at my side (Acts 2:25; Ps. 16:8), anointing me and equipping me to be a Spirit-anointed trailblazer, and I would have the courage to become a world-changing leader. What will I picture? The picture will create emotional passion, inflame faith, and inform my mouth and my actions. Let’s choose to see and hear Christ anointing us each and every moment of the day. Now we become world-changers. As we live out of divine initiative, we live as Jesus lived (Jn. 5:19,20,30; 8:26,28,38).
